Grade 4 Students Receive their Bibles

One of the most important celebrations for our Grade 4 students took place on Wednesday October 11 at St. John Bosco Catholic Schooll.  Each student was presented with a Bible of their own, a beautifully bound edition published by Saint Mary’s Press. 

Father Paul was able to be at St. John Bosco Catholic School to preside over this special event and shared with the students some facts about the composition of the Bible and the significance of the four different Gospels.  Thank you Father Paul!! 

All of our Grade 4 students were intrigued and excited to have their own copy of this Holy book that will stay with them throughout all their years as a student in Durham Catholic and for their lives beyond school.  We want to thank Ms. Olesky, Ms. Conway and Ms. O’Neill for preparing a thoughtful and prayerful liturgy; to Mrs. Kennedy for providing music and of course to the many parents and family members who were able to join us in the library to witness their children receiving the gift of this most treasured book!
