This year, St. John Bosco Catholic School's Improvement Plan, focused on Pathways, believing that if students experience authentic learning opportunities based on the four-step inquiry process, then students will increase their awareness of their personal strengths and become more knowledgeable of the opportunities available to them now and in the future.

St. John Bosco Catholic School’s theme for Education Week was "How Will I Serve the World". Each grade focused on Pathways and had various displays of student work:

  • Kindergarten - The Best Part of Me;
  • Grade 1 - Using our gifts to serve others;
  • Grade 2 - Pathways through Visual Arts and Literacy;
  • Grade 3 - Pathways through Visual Arts and Literacy;
  • Grade 4 - Visual displays using graphic novel/board game;
  • Grade 5 - Bridge display – Skilled Trades and Engineering pathway;
  • Grade 6 - Coding Arcade in the Library;
  • Grade 7 - Career Inquiry Assignments in the gym; and
  • Grade 8 - Preparing for future careers.

The evening was a great success and celebrated the gifts and talents of every students and recognizing how they serve their world now and in the future.
